Here is Allowance Requirements For Colleges Of Education
The management of the Students Loan Trust Fund has sent a quick message to all teacher trainees in accredited public colleges of education.
SLTF is urging all trainees, especially newly admitted students to submit their details.
SLTF says that this directive is part of efforts to ensure that students receive their allowance without any problems.
All trainees in colleges of education must submit the following details to the trust fund to facilitate their allowance payment.
•An E-switch Account With Any Bank
•An Active Account Number.
Allowance And Disbursement
Every eligible student-teacher is entitled to GHC 400 a month in every semester.
204 cedis is paid into the students
200 cedis into the e-switch account and 4 cedis to TTAG as dues.
The remaining 196 is paid to the principals of the various colleges to cater for the feeding fees and other expenses on behalf of the students.
Submission of data for disbursement
All registered students must submit correct and relevant details of the principals or scheduled allowance offices of their college for onward submission to the Trust Fund.
Students must make sure the name and spelling on the admission letters or ID card should be the same used for SSNIT and e-switch registration.
Any difference in name or spelling may result in failed invalidation on subsequent delay or nonpayment of the allowance.
Where there is the need for any change, students should contact principals or scheduled allowance officers of their college to request for amendment.
All changes such as a change of name must be supported with official documents.
Students on deferment or suspension are not entitled to the allowance for the period that they are not in school.
Students who are repeated or redrawn for academic poor performance and readmitted to the same college or change college will not be paid the allowance for the additional years they spend in school.
