Breaking; Wa Court sentenced a Teacher Trainee
Judge, His Lordship Mr. Jonathan Avogo sentenced a Teacher Trainee aged twenty (20) for 1 year two months (14 months) for impersonation. His sentence by the Wa Court was in accordance with the West African Examination Council’s Act, Act 719 (2016).
The jailed Teacher Trainee is a freshman (Level 100) at Nasrat Jahan Training College. He was sentenced for impersonating a private registered BECE candidate at the ended BECE.

The Upper West (U/W) Regional Controller of the West African Examination Council (WAEC) briefed Ghana News Agency in the capital, Wa about the news surrounding the jailed Teacher Trainee.
Speaking to the media, Mr. Donald Tuor said the trainee, Uthman Anwar Sadat impersonates a registered BECE candidate by the name of Daud Hamdan Kunateh who registered for BECE as a private candidate in the 2022 just-ended examination.

Delving deep into the happening, Mr. Donald Tuor disclosed further that Uthman Anwar Sadat always swerves the usual inspection conducted on candidates before the exams commence.
Uthman Anwar Sadat was fond of reporting to the exam Hall. Inspection of admission notices and the usual checks have been done successfully before he reports.

Due to the sentenced person’s continuous reporting to the hall beginning too much, it called for (suspicion) an alert to check and confirm his identity.
DAY OF SUSPICION
On the 20th day of October 2022, the day slated for the Ghanaian Language paper, Dagaare, Uthman Anwar Sadat repeated his usual coming to the exams hall late.
The invigilators suspect his action and called for thorough searches on him. In their searches (invoice, and admission notice), it was revealed through his response that he, Uthman Anwar Sadat was writing the Basic Education Certificate Education (BECE) for one private registered candidate, Daud Hamdan Kunateh.
