The demand for secondary education has increased as a result of high completion rates at the Junior high School level. In response to this, several new public schools have been provided, whilst facilities in existing schools have been upgraded.
Trends in school placement from the Computer Schools Selection and Placement System (CSSPS)
indicate some disparity in the selection of schools. Students overwhelmingly choose the popular but few traditionally high-performing schools thereby leading to oversubscription of these schools.
Many schools that have significantly improved in recent years remain unknown and undersubscribed.
We believe that this anomaly is partly due to the lack of information available to students and parents.

DESCRIPTION

Jirapa Senior High School was established by the Government of Ghana to support the already existing Senior High Schools in the country to absorb the growing numbers of students who completed Junior High School but could not all get placement. It was first located behind the Jubilee Hall of St. Joseph’s
Catholic Church with an initial students population of 126 thus, 75 males and 51 females.

VISION
We aspire to mould the school into one of the best educational centres nationwide, typically recognised for strong moral armament, faithfulness, hard work,
excellent academic pedigree, milling out men and women for mother Ghana.

MISSION
To empower the youth and promote fuller life through imparting integral education at all levels.
