The demand for secondary education has increased as a result of high completion rates at the Junior high School level. In response to this, several new public schools have been provided, whilst facilities in existing schools have been upgraded.
Trends in school placement from the Computer Schools Selection and Placement System (CSSPS)
indicate some disparity in the selection of schools. Students overwhelmingly choose the popular but few traditionally high-performing schools thereby leading to oversubscription of these schools.
Many schools that have significantly improved in recent years remain unknown and undersubscribed.
We believe that this anomaly is partly due to the lack of information available to students and parents.

DESCRIPTION
St. Michael’s Senior Hgh, popularly known as ‘Archangel’ was established in September, 2011 at Ahenkro near Offinso in the Ashanti Region. The idea for its establishment was mooted by Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Effah of St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Ahenkro. The school’s, motto is “Fides, Sanctitas, Scicenter” meaning “Faith, Holiness and Knowledge”.
VISION
To be a centre of excellence in the training of young people who will confidently use their God-given talents to serve the school, the community, and the country at large.
MISSION
To create a congenial and enabling environment in educating students at the second cycle level, and to facilitate teaching and lea, ring by equipping both students and staff with tools, equipment and materials
