TTAG commends the government for payment of teacher trainees’ allowance
Teacher Trainees’ Association of Ghana (TTAG) has commended the government and stakeholders on the payment of the Teacher Trainees’ allowance.
Mr. Dzunu Jonathan, President, and Sumaila Musah, General Secretary signed a release from their office to appreciate the actions taken by the rightful authority towards the payment of 2 out of 7 months’ allowance due Teacher Trainees.
The letter reads:
“Teacher trainees across all the 46 public Colleges of Education have been plunged into a state of delight with the reason being that the much-anticipated heart soothing notification on the payment of two months of the allowance has been served.

“With a grateful heart, we the leadership of the Teacher Trainees’ Association of Ghana (TTAG) wish to extend our recondite gratitude to the Government, Ministry of Education, and all stakeholders through the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC) and Students Loan Trust Fund (SLTF) for the payment of the teacher trainees’ allowances since 2017 after its restoration despite the flaws of delays and others.
“We wish to also commend the management of Students Loan Trust Fund (STLF) for their swift response to our calls at all times.
“Undoubtedly, teacher trainees’ allowances have been of enormous help to trainees in diverse ways and we greatly appreciate the government’s unflinching commitment to its payment.

“We however appeal that steps are expedited in the release of funds and subsequently the payment of the remaining 5 months of the arrears.”
