TTAG Gives Fresh Update On Payment Of Teacher Trainee’s Allowances
The Leadership of the Teacher Trainees Association led by Jonathan Dzunu met the leadership of the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission and Fair Wages & Salaries Commission on 14 April 2022 to discuss issues of concern to the teacher trainee fraternity.

with imperative probes into the undue delay in the payment of trainees’ allowances, the Director-General of GTEC, Prof. Salifu Mohammed disclosed that GTEC with the Ministry of Education had already initiated steps in the past weeks for the payment of the allowances and all arrears. He added that PRINCOF had served a notice on its inability to feed trainees in the coming days after the Easter break should they not receive the arrears of the feeding component, hence all necessary measures will be employed for the payment to be made soon.
The leadership adjured GTEC to consider increasing the allowances to yield an increment on the feeding component due to the constant hike in prices of foodstuff. He assured the leadership of engaging all relevant stakeholders for onward consideration.
