TTAG President Gives New Update On Payment Of Teacher Trainees Allowance

Here is the latest update on the payment of teacher trainees’ allowance.

The President of the Teacher Trainees Association of Ghana, Jonathan Dzunu has given a new update on the payment of the teacher trainees allowance.

TTAG President in a short communique copied to Skynewsgh.com has indicated that Processing of the allowance starts this week so trainees short submit their details to Student Loan Trust Fund Administrators across the various colleges of education.

How much is the teacher trainees’ allowance?

Under the restored allowance scheme, each student teacher is entitled to an amount of GHC 400.00 per month within the two semesters of the academic year.
The allowance will be disbursed as follows;

GHC 196.00 per month to be paid to the colleges for feeding grantgrantsother deductibles

GHC 200.00 per student per month directly to the e-zwich accounts of the students
GHC 4.00 per month is to be deducted and paid as TTAG dues

What are the qualifications for receiving teacher trainees allowance?

Must be a Ghanaian by birth
.
Admitted into a public College of Education
Registered as a student in the academic year

Allowance Payment Details

Eligible students are to obtain;

Social Security Number (SSN) from any SSNIT branch office.

E-zwich Account/Card from any bank or rural bank

A valid and active mobile Phone Number
Note: Students are to ensure that the names on their admission letters or student ID cards are the same on the SSNIT card and e-zwie-which unit/card in terms of the arrangement (surname, first name, and, middle name) and spelling.
