The demand for secondary education has increased as a result of high completion rates at the Junior high School level. In response to this, several new public schools have been provided, whilst facilities in existing schools have been upgraded.
Trends in school placement from the Computer Schools Selection and Placement System (CSSPS)
indicate some disparity in the selection of schools. Students overwhelmingly choose the popular but few traditionally high-performing schools thereby leading to oversubscription of these schools.
Many schools that have significantly improved in recent years remain unknown and undersubscribed.
We believe that this anomaly is partly due to the lack of information available to students and parents.

DESCRIPTION
Krobea Asante Technical Vocational Institute was established by Nana Susubribi Krobea Asante, the Omanhene of Asokore Traditional Area in, 1999, and commissioned by H E Janet Graham, the Canadian High Commissioner to Ghana. The institute, established to train the youth to have employment skills are currently the only Government-assisted.
Technical Institute in the Sekyere East District.
The Institute is part of the ten institutes in the District receiving support from the African Development Bank through the Council for Technical Vocational Education and Training (COVTVET) in the area of infrastructural upgrades.
VISION
The institute is committed to being a place of excellence for academic and practical training, towards the formation of a skilled labor force for the country.

The institute is committed to training qualified and skilled labor force for national development and make the institute a place of excellence for academic training.
