NSS Allowance To Be Increased Beyond GH¢800 – Gifty Oware-Mensah
Deputy Executive Director of National Service Scheme (NSS), Gifty Oware-Mensah out-let the plans of the National Service Secretariat on the increment of the National Service Personnel’s (NSP) allowance.
According to her, the Secretariat’s plans have been placed before the Education Committee in the Parliament and will be manifested in the due cause.

Adding, she said their intention is beyond the demands of the GH¢800.00 the National Service Personnel (NSPs) are demanding for.
“Unfortunately, all we can come up with will be the figures when it goes for appropriation, but at this point, what I can say and confidently, is the fact that it will be more than the GH¢800 they are seeking,” she explained.
Earlier in the news, the Coalition of Suffering National Service Personnel organized a massive demonstration in other to air their grievances to the heads in charge of their allowance.

The National Service Personnel (NSPs) were demanding an increment in their allowance because their cut wasn’t helpful enough.
In the Deputy Executive Director, Gifty Oware-Mensah’s submission to the media, she made it clear that the people who haven’t received what they have to the 67,000 National Service Personnel are hinged on their failure of submitting their monthly assessment forms or due to late submissions.
However, she assured them of that payment in the due time.
