Update On Examination And Teaching Practicum Fees For Colleges Of Education

For a while now, teacher trainees across the 46 Accredited Colleges of Education (CoE) were in dilemma due to issues surrounding their Examination and Teaching Practicum Fees.

Trainees cannot tell if they have to pay for the fees allocated to the Macro teaching (i.e the GH¢370.00) even though their parent body, TTAG engaged major stakeholders including GTEC, UCC, & PRINCOF on the need to cancel the fee (practicum fee).

Due to the information passed on to trainees by TTAG in relation to the payment, the teacher trainees disregarded the fee and relaxed. Also, another reason for the trainees relaxing is the uncertainties and undue disparity update in the payment system which made it difficult for trainees to pay the second semester Examination Fee even though it has been agreed on to be scraped out.

PAYMENT SYSTEM RESOLUTION

The payment system’s uncertainties and automatic update for fees especially the purported GH¢370.00 meant for teaching practicum fees have been resolved therefore trainees can now pay Level 400 Second Semester Examination Fees (GH¢400.00) to UCC with ease as compared to what most of them were facing earlier due to the payment system challenges.

TAKE NOTE: Persons who made payment to their Colleges should be expecting an official notice from the Teacher Trainees’ Association of Ghana (TTAG) where the mode of refunding will be communicated.
