• Two cups of low sodium/homemade stock/ broth.

Put 1 ½ cups of stock on fire for a low boil in a small saucepan.
With the remaining ½ cup of cold stock, whisk the cornstarch until no lumps appear in a small bowl.
Add the cornstarch slurry in a slow drizzle when the stock on the stove comes to a low rolling boil.
Although the gravy will thicken as it cools, boil until the desired thickness is achieved.
Serve it warm over the dog’s regular food.
Ground Chicken Gravy
The ingredients are;
• One pound ground low-fat turkey, chicken, or beef.
• Two teaspoons of cornstarch or tapioca flour.
• Two cups of low sodium, broth or homemade stock.
Warm the broth in a saucepan to a simmer.
Make the meat brown by breaking it in a skillet.
Strain off fat from the meat when cooked through.
Stir it well to coat as you sprinkle cornstarch over it.
Pour the broth over the meat and bring it to a low boil until the desired thickness is achieved then serve warm.
Egg Gravy – Savory
If your dog likes eggs, then you can try this out for it. The eggs may scramble a bit at the end but it wouldn’t matter to your pet.
The ingredients are;
• Two cups of low sodium, homemade stock or broth.
• Two eggs.
Put the broth on simmer
Whisk the eggs thoroughly in a medium bowl.
Add the hot broth to the egg while stirring until half of the broth is added.
With the remaining broth, whisk as you pour the egg mixture back into the saucepan.
Simmer it until you achieve the desired thickness after which you serve it warm.
