When Do Student Loans Resume?
As it was enshrined in Articles 25 and 38 of the 1992 Constitution, the Students Loan Trust Fund (SLTF) is a state-owned organization under the Trustee Incorporation Act 1962, Act 106 to provide financial support to students and to build and promote the national ideologies of the country in terms of education. It has become the replacement for the Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT) Loan Scheme.
When Do Student Loans Resume?
The student loan was replaced with allowances in 2017 for students in all Colleges of Education. As for the other tertiary institutions in the country, the loan has been scraped off but recently, it can be accessed online by downloading the Students Loan Trust Fund (SLTF) app from the Google Play Store or the App Store. After which the applicant must register his or her account and follow the procedures to access the loan.

How To Create an SLTF Account?
After successfully installing the SLTF App on your device, continue the application process by following the steps below :
• Tap on the Signup button.
• Read the legal notice and comply.
• Provide the necessary information and press next.
• Check the box with “terms and conditions apply “.
• After the account was created, one will receive an activation code on the phone number provided or email.
What Are The Requirements For Accessing SLTF?
• One must be a Ghanaian.
• One must be enrolled in an accredited tertiary institution in Ghana.
• One must be studying tertiary program either as a diploma or a first degree.
• One must have a valid Ghana Card.
• One must have an active phone number.
• Applicant must have an Email Address.
• Applicant must have a Student ID card.
• Applicant must have an E-zwich Card which could be obtained from any bank.
