The Students Loan Trust Fund (SLTF) is the institution charged to disburse the allowances due to trainees in the country.
Nursing Trainees Allowance Payment Date & Schedule
It’s the mandate of SLTF to disburse allowances across all the forty-six (46) colleges of Education in Ghana. But then, due to some technical and other emanating challenges, the scheduled dates/periods will make it impossible.
What makes you eligible for the teacher trainees allowance?
To be eligible for the allowance, you should;
- Be admitted into a public College of Education in the country.
- Get an E-zwich card from your bank of choice.
- Get a Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT) card/ get an SSNIT reference number from their office.
Do they pay the allowance during vacation too?
The payment of the teacher-trainees allowance is paid only for the number of months they study on campus. It means that they are paid for four(4) months each semester.
How much is the teacher trainees allowance every month?
Every Teacher trainee is entitled to get an alert for Gh¢400 a month.
Who pays for the feeding components?
Out of the paid Gh¢400 every month, Gh¢200 goes to the trainee’s E-zwich straightforward, Gh¢196 is sent to the College for feeding, and the remaining Gh¢4 for dues.
Why is the allowance delaying?
The allowance has been delayed due to technical challenges faced by SLTF and other undisclosed reasons.
