History Of Teacher Trainees Allowance

Teacher trainee allowance which is paid to trainees in Colleges of Education was a system established by the First Prime Minister of Ghana, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah in the 1960s with the vision of attracting more people to join hands in making the teaching profession a welcoming and vital profession that has the potential to write much about both the learners, teachers, achievements, culture and accepting what belongs to the nation.

Education becomes a vital tool hence, with a little given to teachers then will attract more hands for materializing his aim for the Education Ministry and the natives at large.
